Suzan spent her childhood in Marble Hill and Yonkers, where she met her husband of 35 years while just teenagers. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1963 and the two were married in 1968. Together they raised their five children in Putnam Valley and LaGrange, NY.
Beyond her indispensable role(s) at home, Suzan also worked. Her most notable positions were as District Secretary for Foot Locker’s League 603 and Personnel Assistant at Dutchess County BOCES from which she retired after 20 years of service.

Suzan loved going to see live music, particularly Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band. Our go-to grammar guru, she loved gardening, Judaica, and all things dogs. She was a fierce advocate for pet adoption and, to continue her legacy, we appreciate donations made to her favorite charity, Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org).
A private green burial was held at Rhinebeck Town Cemetery. Friends and extended family are invited to a celebration of Suzan’s life at Alumnae House at Vassar College on October 20th from 11-4.
